Floods have badly eroded the meander in the Overy mill stream.

36 live stakes of crack willow, cut from the copse across the stream, were driven into the gravel base of the river bank by volunteers, with the help of a JCB, and secured to the bank.

This remedy falls far short of proper willow spiling, but it has worked for us in the past.
